1957 OSHKOSH W712 4×4 Truck – Ex-Air Force Truck was rebuilt by OSHKOSH 3/1987 with all data plates and information intact. 34,000# GVW with maximum road speed of 35 MPH. Total mileage 7410. Caterpillar 1673 6 cylinder turbo diesel with 1410 hours. 245 horsepower at 2200 RPM. Diesel has an on board cold weather ether start system and recirculating hot water engine heater (all working). Oil and fuel pressure within normal operating limits. Engine equipped with on board ether start and 110V recirculating water pre-heater. Fuller 9 SPD Road Ranger. Same basic trans as todays 8LL. 11′ Viking power angle highway plow on Frink head gear. 2-4 yard double piston hydraulic dump body with 2 position tailgate. Body has some floor rust and should be re-plated if used to haul gravel/sand, I haul wood. Central hydraulic system with front mount pump. 12.00×20 14 ply tires at 75 psi. All with good road tread and v-bar single ice chains on all 4 corners. Spare set of chains. Pintle hitch, 50 gals. fuel, plow and warning lights, heater/defroster, 2 Bostrum Viking T-Bar seats. 2 new batteries, new starter, new emergency brake band within last year. Recent oil change, filters, greasing and belts. No frame rust but some cab and dump body rust. Cab is weather tight. All gauges, lights, wipers, heater etc. WORK.
