1962 AMC M422A1 MIGHTY MITE – SERIAL 3614 – USMC 1/4-TON TACTICAL 4X4

TITLE STATUS – READ FIRST: NO TITLE. Sold on a notarized bill of sale. Released as US military surplus and never state-titled. Ownership is documented by a 1987 California lien-sale certificate, a December 2003 bill of sale, and a notarized owner affidavit with sworn mileage (32,094). Florida titles 30+ year-old vehicles on exactly this paperwork (Fla. Stat. 319.23(3)(a)); the complete document file transfers to the buyer. THE VEHICLE
An authentic M422A1 Mighty Mite, the all-aluminum 1/4-ton tactical 4×4 built by American Motors for the US Marine Corps to be light enough for helicopter lift. Roughly 3,900 M422/M422A1s were built 1959-1962; few survive as running vehicles.

RUNS AND DRIVES. Original AMC AV-108-4 1.8L air-cooled V4, 4-speed manual, dual-range transfer case, independent suspension with limited-slip differentials front and rear, 24-volt electrical, 71-inch wheelbase, all-aluminum body. Fuel system upgraded with a new tank and electric pump for reliable running; the original tank is included and conveys with the vehicle.

DOCUMENTATION
Original operator and technical manuals, service and repair receipts, notarized mileage affidavit, and ownership records back to 1987. Odometer reads 32,094 (exempt by age). See the photos and the attached video for cold start, walkaround, and driving footage.
