1971 AM General M35a2 C

LDT 465 multifuel engine that will run on anything. The engine is dated as a 1989 and was put in during depo level maintenance by the Army (service tag on the truck says 1989).

Oversized super singles and rims from a MRAP. Adaptor plates made by canadian rockwell (they make the trucks axels so why not buy from them). Rear hubs flipped for better wear on bearings.

Rebuilt and upgraded fuel system with spin on filters. Replaced the main copper line for a flexible hydraulic line that will last much longer and won’t get damaged as easy.

Overhead 12VDC power rack. Has 50AMP capacity but only running a pair of cigarette lighter ports to charge my phone.

  • Spin on oil filters.
  • FDC deleted.
  • Flame heater deleted.
  • New o rings in the hydraulic head.
  • New parking brake.
  • Improved shifter boot.
  • Fiberglass troop seats.
  • 3 color camo cargo cover with super rope.
  • 17,000lb civilian hitch. Still retained the military pindle hitch as well.
  • 24VDC to 12VDC trailer wiring adaptor. XM381 type.

Fold down boarding ladder. Great for the kiddos or the vertically challenged.

All lights on the truck are LED to include dash.

Remote brake fluid reservoir from big mike’s motor pool.

The bad: One of the axel boots has a tear and should be replaced before driving in deepwater. Both windshields are showing some age but have no cracks or chips, just old and you can start to see some of the sealant from the inner frame bubble just a little.
