About & History 1973 AM General M35A2 (Deuce and a half) Multi Fuel Turbo Diesel. With Winch (most desired!) Hard top. It runs strong, great condition. It was sprayed dessert tan by the military on its last run. Air System works great. All components tied to air including the windshield wipers work. Winch/PTO – Works good and strong. – I currently have it disconnected from the PTO just because I did not re-install after new transmission while I was performing a break in. – Its just 4 bolts on each side. I can install, or you can – your call. H4 Headlight Conversion – This was completed so that off the shelf bulbs can be purchased from local parts stores. If this was not done, you have to buy the entire housing each time for $100+ and wait for shipping. – The vehicle was purchased by me from the Department of Natural Resources, in Iowa. Maintenance performed last 100 miles: – All Fuel Filters properly drained, replaced and gave much more power. – All Oil Filters replaced, brand new oil (48qt) installed. – Fuel tank emptied, cleaned out impurities inside tank and put fresh diesel in. Never used any mixtures during my ownership. Transmission Upgrade and Replacement last 50 miles – New Upgraded Clutch kit installed 50 miles ago with this exact part and supplier cccsurplus – Replaced transmission at the same time with one that had zero grinds on any gears in mint condition. All new transmission fluid, flushed a second time to be perfectly clean. – New rear main seal performed during transmission install. – All new gaskets were used during re-installation and sealed perfectly tight and torqued properly. Red RTV used Drivetrain: – Runs great, I have only put it in to 10 wheel drive (or all 6×6) twice on some extremely high grade situations. It is amazingly fantastic and in good working order.
