This is a (badged as but probably older) 1974 AM general M52a2 however it is most likely an early 60’s IHC gasser that was rebuilt by the army. It has the rare ENDT 673 Mack engine with 5 spd Spicer Overdrive. It also has the updated Ross steering system used in the later M809 series Trucks which is much better than the original M39 series setup. This is a turn key(well no key) truck. I went through the entire braking system and replaced ALL 6 wheel cylinders, wheel seals and repacked all bearings.New Master cyl as well. The tires are in very good roadworthy shape. It has good windshields and a fiberglass hardtop. The fifth wheel works fine as do all the lights. I recently bob tailed from North east Ct to Long Island(over 350 miles). Went down empty and came back with a 35 ton Rogers Lowboy behind me. The Charging system has been upgraded to a 65 mp alt from the original 25 amp generator(worthless). This truck is pretty much original with the sheet metal and has almost zero rust. I have never seen one this clean but being it is former Fire Dept they usually keep stuff indoors and spotless. It also has a cab heater. Also has upgraded seats from an M813. Oil is fresh, filters all fresh. Grease, fluids full, cooling system flushed out and radiator pulled and cleaned out by a shop.New belts. All relevant hoses changed.
