Offered for sale is our extensively upgraded 1993 AM General M998 HMMWV, finished in green with a black interior. This M998 retains its military character while featuring substantial drivetrain, cooling, electrical, comfort, and technology upgrades designed to make it considerably more road-friendly than a stock surplus M998.
The 5-digit odometer currently shows approximately 1,800 miles; TRUE MILEAGE IS UNKNOWN (TMU). We purchased the M998 in December 2025. Located in Poway, CA (San Diego County).

Documentation is not available to verify the above service work. In our ownership, the truck has run cool and smoothly, and we have not experienced any leaks.
CONDITION / KNOWN FLAWS
This is an authentic 1993 military HMMWV that has been extensively modified for civilian use; it is not represented as a fully restored or cosmetically refinished H1.
Known flaws include:
• Wear and blemishes around the exterior
• Sealant visible around portions of the door frames
• Wear on interior touch points
• Patches/wear on the driver’s seat
• Portions of the custom steel doors/interior retain a utilitarian finish and could be cosmetically finished further if desired

TITLE / REGISTRATION
Clean California title. The M998 is currently street-legal in California.
Emissions, inspection, titling and registration requirements for former military vehicles vary by state, and this M998 may not pass emissions testing or vehicle inspection in some states. Buyers outside California should confirm their local requirements.
WHY WE’RE SELLING
We’re preparing for a move and unfortunately won’t be able to take the M998 with us. The sale is due to the upcoming move rather than a known mechanical issue.
