Your bidding on a Dodge WC52. The Good News is she starts right up, runs well, drives well and has decent brakes. Overall in pretty good shape for her age. No catastrophic/significant rust at all. Reenactor quality at least but far from perfect. The previous owner took some shortcuts and liberties when restoring her, thus some imperfections. The gas tank, some wiring and hardware for the troop seats are not original. The driver’s side running board is the incorrect size. She was sold to me as a 1944. I did not verify this but the running board is a pretty good indicator of this being a late-war truck. I included a pic with the VIN Data Plate for anyone that wants to research and verify year of manufacture and contract. There are also cosmetic issues such as brushed on paint, paint runs, dents and dings. Those who study the “correct” color of OD should find this truck interesting/entertaining.
I bought the truck because it was a project that moved under it’s own power and had a valid Title. If I kept her, she needs installation of three new brake hoses, brakes bled and a quick inspection for perfect brakes. The new brake hoses are included in the sale>
After that, anything is possible. Enjoy as is or restore to perfection. Look at the pics and feel free to ask any questions. COMMUNICATION IS KEY.. .
I can store the truck for 30 days for the winning bidder. After that it’ll be $200 per month to store her unless another agreement is reached. I’ll work with you. Winner is responsible for all shipping arrangements and expenses. I will assist with loading but will not load for you. Tell your transporter this is a running/braking truck so you can save money.
I need a $1000 nonrefundable deposit within 48 hours of the end of the auction/ I accept Cashier’s Check or Money Order in US funds drawn on a US bank. I will not release the truck to a transporter unless funds have cleared . .
