This truck has the 3 liter inline six, commonly found in the Volvo 164 with dual Stromberg carburetors, rated at 117hp. The ZF transmission has 8 forward speeds, 4 high and 4 low and 2 reverse speeds. During normal operation in high gear the truck’s two rear axles are driven, in low gear or when activated separately, it is driven on all wheels.
