1943 Ford GPW is a Rare example of U S Army World War II vehicle that appears to have been deployed in a Desert War theater during 1943-1945. When I acquired it a year ago from a barn in Arizona, the desert Gold paint was on it, but was aged. The paint was very alike to how these jeeps were painted on the ships on way to Allied Forces that were engaging in sandy deserts in Africa and the Middle east. Very alike the SAS Airborne jeeps , this particular jeeps aesthetics reflected indicative elements of a survivor desert deployment. The seller could not ascertain the authenticity due to lack of records available.
Original Data Plates matching serial number on chassis. Desert cooling setup as was used in hot desert operations during the war was on the jeep when acquired and retained.
The jeep was absolutely dry and had unmutilated original panels, nuts & bolts, parts, tranny, axles, transfer case etc with the Ford F and GPW markings.
The restoration process maintained and retained maximum originality to make it an excellent and dependable driver and enjoy to participate in parades and shows.
