You are looking at an excellent condition 2.5 ton LMTV – Light Medium Tactical Vehicle made by Stewart & Stevenson for the US military. This truck is a rare “diamond” of modern surplus. The M1078A1R is the current generation of truck in service now by the US Army. The truck has been restored, painted mil-spec 686 tan, and 100% functional. It’s truly the best from Uncle Sam’s toybox.

2006 Stewart & Stevenson – C7 Caterpillar Engine and More!

This LMTV starts instantly, drives strong, and everything works. The truck has been gone through from tires to headlights making it “turn key” ready to drive. The A1R designation shows it has the upgraded C7 Caterpillar engine and newer Allison 3700SP transmission. It will run 62 mph on the highway in stock configuration. More power, more speed, more functionality.

All LED lights were factory installed. Additional cab handles and suspension improvements were part of the A1R package in case the truck received an armored cab in theater. Engine remote start switches and battery disconnect were also part of this factory package. CTIS (tire inflation system), doors, and cab hydraulic systems have been gone through and are all functional.

The M1078A1R is a rare truck and few will be released from government inventory due to current Oshkosh rebuild programs. With the current condition, clean title, and being the best of the LMTV generations produced. The engine is programmable up to 370hp stock factory flash from Caterpillar so it’s prime for Eco Hub or “high speed” gear install.
